For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Goals for 2015 and Word for 2015

So, another years has gone by. 2015 is here. I am sure I am not the only one who wonders where 2014 has gone, but the fact remains that another page in the span of time has turned, and another one started. It is now time to look forward to another year full of promises, hopes and new beginnings.

I for one is not a resolution kind of girl, mainly because I am not so good at keeping them. That said, I have plenty that I would like to get accomplished and many thing that I need to get back under better control and management, so instead of writing resolutions I will list a few of my goals for this coming new year. I will list 5, as the less you aim for the more likely you are to persevere and not get overwhelmed:
  • More focus on the kids: less Facebook time, more read alouds.
  • More focus on the Word: Attempt the Praying Through the Bible in 100 Days Challenge
  • Be More encouraging to my husband and my kids: make words of affirmation a constant in my language.
  • Be More vocally grateful: make verbal appreciation a priority in my daily talk.
  • Joyfully stay on top of my home management tasks: make housekeeping a priority, not a "when I have the time or feel like it" chore.
Wow, these sound easy and basic, but there is such a think as distraction that always creeps in. I know I can't do this on my own, so I pray that the Lord will grant me strength in seeking to accomplish these, all by and through His grace. Motherhood and housewife is my calling, I need to work at it with all my might, dependant of Him as in everything else in life.

In light of all of this my word for this year will be GRACE, as I recognize that I need God's grace to do any of this, which means that I need to be in prayer as it is a means to express our dependence on Him and daily need of Him

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" 2 Corinthians 12;9

Wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!
