Weekly Wrap-up

I am back in  the Weekly Wrap-Up theme hosted by Kris @ Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers, as we just ended our week back home. It has been an easy going week with unpacking, re-arranging, laundry and re-adjusting to school.

This is our 6th week in school. We were able to complete our English and Math as scheduled for the week, which is a relief, no lagging behind! We were even able to fit in our history and science chapter. I enjoyed Zach's questions while reading about the time of the flood and after in our History for Little Pilgrims : "Why is there still sin?" and "How did we come alive again?"

Violin is back on track as well with Zach's first group lesson for the year today. I was quite happy when I saw that in in his class of 4, he was the most advanced, when he was the one who started last (except for one who has just started a couple of months ago and probably should be in the previous class).

The biggest thing this week was getting to know our new toy and family entertainment: our Wii. My parents graciously offered us one and we purchased it while on vacation 2 weeks ago. It has been a big hit with both the kids and us. Somehow it tires them out, for which I won't complain. It is certainly going to be used as an incentive and reward for diligence in doing school in a timely fashion and violin practice (that's aside from exercise for mommy!).

And of course lots of constructions as you can see on the pictures with the trucks!

Have a great day,

We enjoyed History for Little Pilgrims! It was a nice overview.

Jealous of the Wii! My brother & his family have one & my kids love to play it when we go over there.

Yay for the Wii. We really like ours, it's so interactive. Of course I like making the little people to look like family members. I could do that all day :)

Isn't the Wii so much fun? I just wish someone would come up with some homeschooling activities for the Wii! A little galloping the globe, maybe?

Oh, my goodness, we love our Wii!! I love that it's so easy for *me* to figure out and that almost the whole family can play at one time. We love the bowling and tennis....and Rock Band!

My daughter has recently started mentioning that she would like a Wii. Oh, look, right on schedule. December is just around the corner.
