Toronto - A Homeschooler's Trove for Field Trip Ideas and a Giveaway

I live in the GTA (Greater Toronto Area), which is in the province of  Ontario in Canada. Canada is known to be a very accepting, loving and beautiful country. Since we moved here about 9 years ago, we have enjoyed living here. We started homeschooling shortly after moving and field trips have always been part of our yearly activities, whether with a homeschooling group, or with the family. A trip to the nature arboretum

Yesterday, we went on a field trip to our very own (Toronto) nature center: the Humber Arboretum. I actually organized it for our co-op. We had a great time studying trees and animal tracks and signs. We did a lot of walking through the woods and meadow but it was great. Have a great day, Joelle

Our aerospace museum fieldtrip

On Monday, our homeschool group had a fieldtrip to an aerospace museum. The kids had lots of fun watching the display of planes, trying one out, having a little scavenger hunt and flying the gliders they received. Have a great day, Joelle

Apple picking day.

We went apple picking today. It was the kids' first time and they had lots of fun climbing trees and picking apples. My younger one did most of the picking  though, he really enjoyed picking the apples. Here are some pics: Now watch out for the apple pies, apple crisps, puddings and everything else I can find interesting to do.
