Homeschooling for His Glory

This week at the Homeschool village is abou t Fall Spirit! How do you show your fall spirit? First of all I should say fall is my favorite seasons, mainly for 2 reasons: It's cool and I love all those changes of color. I love decorations but I am not that great at it. Add to this problem our very low financial freedom, you get very little done in term of making the home very "fally". This year I decided to ntry to do something, so I put a basket full of apples on the dining table, and added this: What do we actually in the fall? Well I am not much of an outdoor person, but during the fall I certainly make sure we do lots of nature walk and enjoy the color changes and the leaves falling. We pick up leaves, play in the leaves and just enjoy the beauty of it all. Our annual tradition is apple picking, for the past 4 years. We all love it and we get to have fresh apple for fall baking which includes Apple pies, apple crisp, apple coffee cakes etc...

It’s Thursday and it is time to meet up with the Homeschool Village. This week’s theme is: What do you - homeschool mom - do to get refreshed for the next school year? Well, Refresh? What is that? Oh you mean recharge? Do we ever? Once a mom, always a mom! With that being so, we do need a break. and here are some of the things I do to give myself a break, and not only during the summer. Take a vacation. I have been blessed these past 2 years to be able to do so. last year we went to visit some friends in Michigan for a week, and I can tell you there was no school talk. This year we are going to fly to Martinique (which is where I come) from for 3 weeks, and I can tell you there won’t be any formal schooling going on.
