Week 2 of back to school is up, and I think we are still adjusting. Oh well, we will eventually get into the swing of things. That's the advantage of homeschooling. No need to fret because we are not exactly in par with the plans and hopes.
That said we did do some Math and some English from our FLL, but that is it.
One great thing of this week is that I have added circle time in our schedule, which consists of read aloud, character training, sining and French. I am hoping to write a post on that next week. Stay tuned. . . We did it twice this week and overall it went well.
The workbox system that I started with Johann last week seems to be working well, and I am rather happy about that. He has been very diligent in doing what was in the box and I had minimal interruptions from his part. Now, my challenge is to fill that box with more challenging independent activities.
Also, this week was my birthday. On Wednesday I turned 34. We made a little trip to Niagara falls to see the falls lighted at night. It was very nice. Unfortunately my batteries were dead so no pic to show it off. I did get one lonely picture of the kids playing in the snow and getting ready for a snow fight.
Here is the rest of the week's happening in pictures.
Tuesday I finally took them out for their first real play in the snow.
I hope you all had a great productive and/or fun week. For more weekly wrap-ups go over to Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers.
