Another week has gone by. I was rather quiet this week because I have really been trying to give the kids, and the house, the attention needed. I still get to read some posts in my reader on some days, but taking the time to write a post is not always possible. I've got a whole lot to share though. We'll see how I can find the balance in the coming weeks.
School wise we've completed our subjects, FLL, Science (learned about food chains and food webs), Spelling, reading (where we learn about the origin of the song O.B.E.D.I.E.N.C.E), odd Math practice (since we are done with our Math book), Handwriting and Geography.
And of course Joho and his favorite activity: Board games
We also finished working on the project for the fair.
This week I also have been busy searching curriculum, and when I say searching, I have to see samples, so that takes a lot of my time at the computer. I've got 3 carts full of stuff ready to be ordered.
This week was also a gorgeous sunny warm week, so guess what, I had to take the kids out, and so we went on nature walks. The kids thoroughly enjoyed that and want to do that everyday now, and they want to explore new tracks. They even took pencil, book and paper with them, and recorded some of the things they would see. I think my hubby and I decided that it was time to schedule a monthly hike trip with the boys.
I am happy to say that I have registered to the Old Schoolhouse Expo and hope to see some of you there. It really sound like a great conference. That's going to be the only one for me this year.
Today we had a project fair with our homeschool group. It went very well and Zach showed his map with all his community helpers and workers on it. He also confidently gave a little speech about it.
That's it for us this week, for more wrap-up, go over to Weird Unsocialized Homeschoolers.
Have a great day,
