The Homeschool Village - Fall Connection

This week at the Homeschool village is about Fall Spirit! How do you show your fall spirit?

First of all I should say fall is my favorite seasons, mainly for 2 reasons: It's cool and I love all those changes of color.

I love decorations but I am not that great at it. Add to this problem our very low financial freedom, you get very little done in term of making the home very "fally". This year I decided to ntry to do something, so I put a basket full of apples on the dining table, and added this:

What do we actually in the fall? Well I am not much of an outdoor person, but during the fall I certainly make sure we do lots of nature walk and enjoy the color changes and the leaves falling. We pick up leaves, play in the leaves and just enjoy the beauty of it all.

Our annual tradition is apple picking, for the past 4 years. We all love it and we get to have fresh apple for fall baking which includes Apple pies, apple crisp, apple coffee cakes etc...

Reformation Day Giveaway

We are approaching October 31, which is an important date for all protestants. This date commemorates Martin Luther’s nailing of his ninety-five theses to a church door on October 31, 1517 in Wittenburg, Germany, which in turn provoked a debate that resulted in what we now call the Protestant Reformation. As the “Father of the Reformation”, Martin Luther is a vital figure in Church History. His sacrifice and willingness to wage battle against the spiritual, religious, and political powers of his medieval world allowed Christians throughout time to embrace the following truths: salvation by grace alone , through faith alone,  and in Christ alone, along with the supremacy of Scripture, referred to as  Scripture alone, and all of it for God's Glory Alone. These being commonly called the Five Solas of the Reformation.  Danika Cooley, author and creator of the Bible curriculum Bible Road Trip ,  has recently written a book for young people recounting Luther's story:   When
