5 on Friday

I am happy to be participating in this new meme hosting by Miranda over at the Pebble Pond. I love memes, that is when I can actually get down to write for them.

I know it's Saturday but yesterday was Good Friday and some things take precedence.

Anyway, here are 5 random facts relating to our life this week:

1.  I am praising God for the Easter season. Easter is really my favourite time of the year as I get to reflect and celebrate Christ's work on the cross on my behalf, and his resurrection demonstrating God's acceptance of His sacrifice.

2. I am rejoicing in the forgiveness of sin and salvation that Christ secured for me.

3. Am I the only mom of boys whose floor is covered with legos? This is how our living room looks 90% of the time.

4. My hubby, a real fan of the musical Les Miserables acquired the DVD this week and we had a movie night with some friends from church last night. The boys, along with another friend of theirs, came up for every battle scenes in the movie; and my history lover son, of course, was happy to connect it to the time in History when the story was taking place.

5. Spring cleaning has started at our house. Boys' room done; Master bedroom done.

The Pascha season is my favorite time of the year! Our church has special services throughout Lent and then the greatest celebration: The Resurrection! Substitute doll house stuff for legos and that is my living room 90% of the Time! Have a blessed Easter tomorrow!

I so need to start spring cleaning. Can't the house just do it all by itself? :)

Right at this moment, my living room floor is covered in Legos. So is my kitchen table!

Reformation Day Giveaway

We are approaching October 31, which is an important date for all protestants. This date commemorates Martin Luther’s nailing of his ninety-five theses to a church door on October 31, 1517 in Wittenburg, Germany, which in turn provoked a debate that resulted in what we now call the Protestant Reformation. As the “Father of the Reformation”, Martin Luther is a vital figure in Church History. His sacrifice and willingness to wage battle against the spiritual, religious, and political powers of his medieval world allowed Christians throughout time to embrace the following truths: salvation by grace alone , through faith alone,  and in Christ alone, along with the supremacy of Scripture, referred to as  Scripture alone, and all of it for God's Glory Alone. These being commonly called the Five Solas of the Reformation.  Danika Cooley, author and creator of the Bible curriculum Bible Road Trip ,  has recently written a book for young people recounting Luther's story:   When
