For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not of yourselves it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

5 on Friday

The Pebble Pond

Monday was our annual Track and Field day. Joho did not do as well as previous years but we all had fun and enjoyed our day. He did get a few ribbons though.

At the Track and field there usually is a used book sales as well, and I was able to find a few goodies:

What I am reading:

Private Lives of Pastors' Wives
Shepherding a Child's Heart (Take 2) -
Age of Opportunity
The Well-Educated Mind

The Boys are reading:

The Magiciens' Nephew
Brixton Brothers' Mysteries
Canadian Flyers  books

We have resumed our evening's read-aloud time, and started with The Horse and His Boy from the Chronicles of Narnia. Daddy is the narrator and Zach enjoys reading the dialogue parts with lots of emotion and drama.

Though we have not really closed up the year I have been in full planning mode and gathering curriculum for the next school year. Watch out for my 2013-2014 line up next week.

Before leaving I would like to share a quote I saw this week:

"There are no disappointments to those whose wills are buried in the will of God." - Frederick Faber
