My weekly Wrap up this week is late, like everything this week!
We had an overall good week. This was our second week back to school and Zach is still showing way more cooperation than he had in the past. We have been able to complete our subjects in 1.5-2 hours.
Singapore Math seems to be liked, so far. Math has always been the subject that he resists a bit, mainly because he does not like writing.
First language Lesson has introduced Copywork this week, and for my "I do not like writing" boy, it has been a bit of a challenge, but he loves FFL so much that he is willing to give it a try.
Joho wanted to write about his birthday as well:
We got the violin fixed and all, so we resumed our violin practice, and there again, there seem to have been some efforts made at being diligent.
We had a few playdates as well this week (Tuesday and Wednesday), and for the boys, that was the highlight of course.
Wherever they are, they have to do construction!
As for Joho, he's been doing some handwriting practice, reading and joining in sometimes in our Math. Otherwise, he plays games with daddy, such as, Scrabble Junior, and Dominos (Dad is still on sick leave), or do some crafts.
That was while waiting for daddy
This week I have also introduced a new motivating system which consists of filling a jar to a certain preset level, with, whatever you choose, in my case, some candies noone likes at our house. When the level is reached they get a prize (most likely from the dollar store). They get rewarded for diligence, obeying right away, following through tasks, and the likes. One is taken out when these things are not observed. I got this idea from Homeschool Dawn @ Olive Plant (great inspiring blog!).
That's our week in a snapshot.

Have a great day,
