First of all I was rather surprised and happy to hear yesterday that I had been featured by homeschoolblogger as one of their faithful bloggers. As they were celebrating their anniversary they decided to reward those who have remained with them over their 5 years of existence. A few were chosen for each year. I am actually glad I did not switch even if I had thought about it a few times. I am starting to get used to this new platform. Still lots to learn but overall I like it.
To go back to the wrap-up per se, we had a relatively good week.
At school: We continued on with our remaining subjects. We have one more week to go before we close the books and go on vacation. I think we are all on vacation mood already. the boys are still very much obsessed with firefighting, police and construction. And Joho is still doing craft all the time, when he is not disassembling something.
On the homefront: I am thinking about how I am going to rearrange and reorganize the house and my head is spinning.
On the heart: We may have big changes happening in the fall in our lives (can’t say much yet), and my head is spinning with as well. I am nonetheless very thankful as we can see God’s hand at work in every step we take. I am really looking forward, just like the kids are, to our trip happening in just about 10 days.
In the kitchen: Not much has happened, as I have been spending lots of time on the computer, getting ideas, making orders, doing some preparations for our DVBS in July. I did make last week-end a 7 layers jello salad (of which I need to write the recipe on my other blog) and some brownies taken from the pioneer Woman blog.
The highlight of the week though was a great field trip to a camp ground on Monday, where the kids had fun canoeing and rock climbing, and just enjoying the outdoors.
Nice discovery: notice the bug in the jar with its long tail?

The rock-climbing and such looks like fun.
