The second week of school of 2011 went pretty well. Praise God. The boys have been pretty diligent in following the schedule they put together with my help. I guess when kids come up with thing themselves they are more likely to stick to it. When I try to switch things around, I encounter some resistance. As a matter of fact it's good for me, because I am not a natural schedule follower lol. It is a blessing in disguise. What all this schedule following has done for me is that school gets done but I have very little time for myself, therefore less blogging and less blog reading.
So, what did we do this week?

So, what did we do this week?
- Math: For Zach, we continued on with multiplications and divisions and done some reviews of additions and subtractions. For Joho, he has been enjoyed the Jump at Home Math book.
- English: Zach covered studies of library, phone book and worked on a book report of one of his Thomas' story. Joho continued on with his reading of I wonder and worked on his phonics Book.
- Latin: We finally started back Latin and reviewed what we had done so far.
- French: continued to listen to French CDs; this is a great way for my auditory learner.
- TOG: We covered Ancient China this week and enjoyed learning about all the stuff they invented. I am planning to take a full week after we cover Ancien Mesoamerica next week, to work on making cookie map and salt dough map of India, China and ancien America. I also finally worked on a timeline for myself which I will use to help Zach get a better understanding of time.
- Science: We covered chapter 8 of our Real Science 4 Kids on Unmixing. Of course they had lots of fun and the rest of week they enjoyed making their own mixtures. We also did some Aha Science; love this site!
