Word-Filled Wednesday

15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; 16 The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them from the earth. 17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. 18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. 19 A righteous man may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all; 20 He protects all his bones, not one of them will be broken. 21 Evil will slay the wicked; the foes of the righteous will be condemned. 22 The LORD redeems his servants; no one will be condemned who takes refuge in him Psalm 34:15-22

Unwrapped Tuesday

I recently found this meme and liked it. Also recently I have been wanting to have a special post on my sweet, very interesting second child: Joho. So here he is unwrapped in pictures:

Maximizing your Morning: Week 3

How am I doing in my maximizing my morning challenge? Well not too bad but not that great either. But, I am fine with that. I have been reminded over and over again that you do not accomplish change drastically and right away. It takes time and patience. The key is to keep trying and not giving up. Week 1 check-in: I have kept on with waking up before 7:00 except on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays when the house schedule is different. The wake up time has not moved to 6:30 yet, but that's ok. I am up before the kids and have time to have my quiet time. That is what is important. As far as the going to bed part is concerned I have not made much progress there. That is the area that still needs a lot of effort. Week 2 check-in: I have not worked a schedule yet for my quiet time, but I certainly have been thinking about it. Now for this week the challenge is to d evelop an Exercise Plan (refer to pages 10-15 of the eBook). The steps are: 1 Pick a Workout 2. Make it Fun 3. Create you Ha...

Have you Heard?

There will be another Schoolhouse Exp o in October. I tremendously enjoyed the Expo back in May, and was very much encouraged. Their Godly bias is definitely a plus. I would most assuredly encourage every one to attend the upcoming expo this October. The fall EXPO tickets are now on sale for $19.99 instead of $24.99 . That is a $5 discount. You can check it out here . They have another great lineup of speakers, a freebie package valued at over $200, and lots of fun planned for you all with our hostesses, so you’ll want to sign up THIS week to save $5 and get registered for our first preshow of the season next Tuesday night. We have 17 speakers lined up for this Expo--including Jeannie Fulbright, Steve and Jane Lambert, Todd Wilson, and Deborah Wuehler-covering such topics as dealing with the highly distractible child, special needs, writing for profit, scholarships, and more. Not only will you be purchasing admission to the October Schoolhouse Expo, but you’ll also receive the...

Sunday Hymn

I Will Rise by Chris Tomlin There's a peace I've come to know Though my heart and flesh may fail, There's an anchor for my soul I can say "It is well". Jesus has overcome And the grave is overwhelmed, The victory is won He is risen from the dead [Chorus:] And I will rise when He calls my name No more sorrow, no more pain. I will rise on eagles' wings Before my God fall on my knees, And rise I will rise. There's a day that's drawing near When this darkness breaks to light, And the shadows disappear And my faith shall be my eyes. Jesus has overcome And the grave is overwhelmed, The victory is won He is risen from the dead. [Chorus:] And I will rise when He calls my name No more sorrow, no more pain. I will rise on eagles' wings Before my God fall on my knees, And rise I will rise. And I hear the voice of many angels sing, "Worthy is the Lamb", And I hear the cry of every longing heart, "Worthy is the Lamb". [x2] [Chorus:] And I wi...
