Sunday Hymn

I Need You by Kristian Stanfill I am frail, broken easily Without fail, my strength keeps failing me All alone, I'm powerless To lift myself from the pit that I am in I need You, Jesus I need You, Jesus From Your throne in heaven's light Descended down into my broken life To right the wrong, to make a way To bear the load that I deserved to bear alone I need You, Jesus I need You, Jesus I need clean hands I can't, You can I need You, Jesus On the cross on our behalf The Son of God bore the Father's wrath And by His blood, the scars and pain The perfect Son, took the fall and took our place In His grace and unfailing love The risen King gave His hand to us To lift us up, from the pit And set our feet upon a rock that ever stands On my own I've tried and tried To save myself, to fill my life But the more I do the more I find That I need You, I need You, I need You

Update

Thanks to all of you you commented on my last post. I really appreciated it. As an update, I am still looking  for a place to move to. My hubbyhas safely reached Tortola and will be preaching 5 sermons, between tomorrow morning and Wednesday, on the topic of stewardship. I am enjoying some nice time of fellowship with some friends in Kalamazoo, MI. The kids are having a blast with the other 5 kids in the house. I was able to have Zachary do some violin today and we will attempt to do some school Tuesday and Wednesday.  Where I am staying is a pastor's home, so just like us, no school on Monday. . . Tomorrow is Zach's birthday. We will miss dad but I think Zach will be ok, especially after opening his gift. . . That's it for now. Thanks again for your prayers and encouraging words.

Sunday Hymn

All I have is Christ I once was lost in darkest night Yet thought I knew the way The sin that promised joy and life Had led me to the grave I had no hope that You would own A rebel to Your will And if You had not loved me first I would refuse You still But as I ran my hell-bound race Indifferent to the cost You looked upon my helpless state And led me to the cross And I beheld God’s love displayed You suffered in my place You bore the wrath reserved for me Now all I know is grace Hallelujah! All I have is Christ Hallelujah! Jesus is my life Now, Lord, I would be Yours alone And live so all might see The strength to follow Your commands Could never come from me Oh Father, use my ransomed life In any way You choose And let my song forever be My only boast is You © 2008 Sovereign Grace Praise (BMI) To listen to it, click here .

Still Around but . . .

I have been busy trying to find a place to move to since our recent big news: my hubby has been called to pastor a new church on the other side of the city, here in Toronto. We are supposed to move at the end of December and are still looking. With this in mind, and other incidentals, like schooling, packing, and a trip coming up to visit friends in Michigan (while my hubby goes to Tortola - British Virgin Islands - to be the speaker at a church conference there), you may see little to no update on the blog. I'll be back when things are more settled. Thanks for reading though.

Word-Filled Wednesday

Romans 14:7-9 7. For none of us lives for ourselves alone, and none of us dies for ourselves alone. 8 . If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. 9 . For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

Sunday Hymn

King of Kings, Majesty by Jonathan Viera King of kings, majesty, God of Heaven living in me, gentle Saviour, closest friend, strong deliverer, beginning and end, all within me falls at your throne. Your majesty, I can but bow, I lay my all before you now. In royal robes I don't deserve I live to serve your majesty. Earth and Heaven worship you, love eternal, faithful and true, who bought the nations, ransomed souls, brought this sinner near to your throne; all within me cries out in praise. Your majesty... You can here this song here.

Weekly Wrap-up

This week was a plain, yet again relaxed school week. Monday I had a kind of mommy day. Not exactly my dream mommy day, but it's was still mommy time. I went for lunch with my sister, which was a first. We never grew too close (6 years apart) and have lived away from each other for a long time (that is in different countries). So, that was nice. It is going to be a monthly occuring. Then I went to the hair dresser and had a hair cut, and had a women's meeting in the evening. The rest of the week, I covered mainly English, Geography, Handwriting/copywork, reading and lots of Math. Daddy did most of the sit down work in Math with Zach. It was great. I do not know how he does it, although I am seeing it with my eyes, but he gets him to do the exercices without complaining. Doing the practices will definitely help him master the concepts. . . Here they are doing some of their work. Handwriting: There he is using his thesaurus at the back of his BJU English book: I also read a few l
