Off for a little bit

My husband's been sick for the past week and in the hospital, so I will be off for a while until everything gets back to somewhat normal. He has been diagnosed with Myasthenia gravis and suffered a crisis.  Till next time. God bless you all.

Little blessings

I have read previously read of the power of music in training our children. So about 2 1/2 years ago i invested in some Bible songs CD, and have been playing them since, when the kids are playing in their room, or at other times in the house as well. What i love is to hear them sing the songs out of the blue. It has happened with both of them that they would start to sing a song while we are at the grocery store, on a walk, or in the car and there is nothing playing. Even when they are playing in their room and there is nothing playing, it is such sweet music to hear them sing. Playing Bible and praise songs in the car is very good too. We have a Sovereign Grace CD that we have been playing for a while now and both my songs know the words of the songs by heart, which is great because they are very theologically sound. We also have a Bible song video which they watched so many time as their request. I am thinking of getting the ones by Steve Green: Hide them in Your Heart .

A little personality test

Saw this test on personality on a friend's blog and thought I would try it. Here is the result.                          You Are An ESFJ The Caregiver You are sympathetic and caring, putting friends and family first. A creature of habit, you prefer routines and have trouble with change. You love being in groups - whether you're helping people or working on a project. You are good at listening, laughing, and bringing out the best in people. In love, you value harmony and mutual understanding. You will apologize or give someone the benefit of the doubt, if it means getting over a fight sooner. At work, you are good at building relationships and connecting with people. You would make a great nurse, social worker, or teacher. How you see yourself: Organized, dependable, co-operative When other people don't get you, they see you as: Opinionated, critical, and know-it-all Most of it is true except for the routine part, still working on that one . . . You can take it he

Frugal thoughts

I read this somewhere and it put a smile on my face. For all of the frugal ones out there (or even those who are not). Enjoy! It’s all Perspective by Ami DePierro Am I cheap for using the library? I prefer to think that I am spending quality time with my kids (story time) and (hopefully) instilling a love of reading into them. I also prefer to view reading as an intellectual pursuit and not cheap entertainment. Am I cheap for reusing baggies. No, I am caring about my environment. Is my house decorated with yard sale junk? No it is done with "antiques and collectibles" Am I cheap for giving homemade gifts. No, I care enough about the person to spend a little time and put some effort in their gift. Am I cheap for not going out to eat at a restaurant with hubby or am I a romantic for packing a picnic and going to the park to watch the sunset instead? Am I cheap for wearing the same pair of jeans for the last 10 years or am I just good at watching my weight? Am I cheap for sharin
