It’s all Perspective

Am I cheap for using the library? I prefer to think that I am spending
quality time with my kids (story time) and (hopefully) instilling a love of
reading into them. I also prefer to view reading as an intellectual pursuit
and not cheap entertainment.
Am I cheap for reusing baggies. No, I am caring about my environment.
Is my house decorated with yard sale junk? No it is done with "antiques
and collectibles"
Am I cheap for giving homemade gifts. No, I care enough about the
person to spend a little time and put some effort in their gift.
Am I cheap for not going out to eat at a restaurant with hubby or am I
a romantic for packing a picnic and going to the park to watch the sunset
instead?
Am I cheap for wearing the same pair of jeans for the last 10 years or
am I just good at watching my weight?
Am I cheap for sharing a shower with hubby or am I a sex goddess? He
picks number two.
Am I cheap for reusing things and refinishing furniture. I prefer to
think I am creative and crafty.
Am I cheap because I go to yard sales. NO I am a voyeur who gets a
kick out of seeing other people's junk and if I happened to find a good deal
while browsing at an "estate sale" so be it.
Am I cheap when I demand that the $.08 that I was overcharged be
refunded. No I am a consumer rights activist.
